Mixed use Oakland, CA Private developer with Stevens + Assoc. BART interviewed Stevens + Associates for a transit village proposal as
part of a development team for the MacArthur BART station in Oakland. The
program called for 400 units of housing, 80,000 square feet of retail, a
child care center, 1700 underground parking stalls, and public plaza.
Responsibilities for the Stevens + Associates team included project
management and design direction. Two schemes were presented to the BART and
City of Oakland review panel—one illustrating the traditional urban infill strategy
and another that capitalized on the dynamic transit village mixed use
concept. |
